ADSL2+ is the most commonly available technology for connecting homes and businesses to the internet. Signals travel across the copper telephone line also used for making and receiving phone calls on a landline telephone. This reuse of existing infrastructure has given ADSL2+ an advantage over other, perhaps better, technologies like Cable broadband.
A few quick facts:
Over recent years the major network providers have increased the availability of ADSL2+ in to a wider geographic area of Australia, making it the most common type of home internet connection in the country.
More exchanges are constantly being updated to support ADSL2+ broadband so you will need to check that your phone line is connected to an ADSL2+ enabled exchange. To do this you can either call your chosen service provider or use the address check search function on the company's website.
