Foxtel's streaming serving service - Foxtel Play - is set to get a little smaller, with the pay TV provider axing 19 channels as of June 5.

BoxSets, 13th Street, Binge, Syfy, Discovery Science, Animal Planet, Lifestyle You, Style, World Movies, CNN, Smooth, BBC World News, CNBC, Max, CMC, Eurosport News, Foxtel Arts, MTV Music, and MTV Dance are all getting the chop. Pricing for all Foxtel Play packages will remaining the same.

The channel cuts will affect subscribers to the Lifestyle, Docos, Drama, and Pop packages primarily, though all Foxtel Play subscribers will lose channels from the core set included with every selection, including CNN, BBC World News, Foxtel Arts, and MTV Music.

No channels will be cut from either the Movies or Sport packages.

While BoxSets and Binge are both to be removed from Foxtel Play, programs from these channels may still be available via on-demand streaming depending on your package.

All discontinued Foxtel Play channels will still be available through Foxtel's broadcast service.
