Foxtel's revamped pricing structure for its Foxtel Play online streaming service is now live. Packages start at $10 per month, and provide access to linear channels in your tier, as well as catch-up and on-demand content. Notably, you can get the entire Game of Thrones back catalogue from $15 per month with a package including Showcase.
When you first sign-up for Foxtel Play, you'll be able to pick from any of following packages:
Lifestyle - $10 per month: Lifestyle, Arena, E, Style, and TLC.
Docos - $10 per month: Discovery, A&E, History, National Geographic, and Animal Planet.
Kids - $10 per month: Disney Channel, Disney Juunior, Cartoon Network, Nickelodeon, and Nick Jr.
Drama - $15 per month: Showcase, BBC UKTV, BBC First, Universal, and Boxsets.
Pop - $15 per month: Showcase, Syfy, Fox8, Comedy, FX, MTV, and Binge.
If you want both Pop and Drama, you'll get them for a discounted $25 per month.
After you've picked from these, you can add on Sport for $25 per month ($29 per month after February 1, 2017) and Movies for $20 per month. Sport and Movies are not available as standalone packages.
Foxtel Play is currently only available in standard definition, but Foxtel says it will be adding a high definition offering early next year. Only three devices can be linked to your Foxtel Play account at a time
A two-week free trial is available for new subscribers, and provides access to all channels, regardless of what package you take up. Foxtel Play apps are available for PC, Mac, Xbox One, PS3, PS4, and select Samsung, Sony and LG smart TVs. iOS and Android users can access select Foxtel Play content account through Foxtel Go on their smartphones and tablets.
The new Foxtel Play will ultimately replace Presto, which Foxtel is switching off at the end of January next year.
