Telstra will add the new Sony Xperia Z2 to its growing tablet range “very soon”.
According to the telco’s customer blog, The Z2 tablet will join the Z2 phone (along with the Samsung Galaxy S5) on Telstra store shelves in the next month or two.
Pricing is yet to be revealed, but customers should expect to pay about $50 per-month based on current pricing for iPads and Galaxy Tab products.
The Z2 tablet is a 10-inch slate, but Sony is boasting that it is also thinnest and lightest in its class. This despite the tablet having an enormous 6000mAh battery inside.
It also sports leading processing hardware, with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 chipset, and is wrapped up in a waterproof chassis. Telstra’s model will feature 4G connectivity, but expect to find Wi-Fi only variants available in local electronics stores too.
